(MoU) signed between the National Institute of Maritime Affairs (NIMA) and Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC)

Karachi, 01 Nov 23, Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the National Institute of Maritime Affairs (NIMA) and Pakistan National Shipping Corporation,(PNSC) at PNSC head office, today. MoU aims to appoint a sponsored Research Associate at NIMA to augment research activities in the Maritime Domain. The MoU documents were dully endorsed with the signatures of DG NIMA, Vice Admiral (Retd) Ahmed Saeed, and PNSC Chairman, Rear Admiral Jawad Ahmed HI(M) Both parties envisioned great future research collaboration with each other, especially in Decarbonization, Green Shipping, and Carbon Credits mechanisms to align the fabric of Pakistan’s Shipping industry to meet the global targets set by International organizations such as the International Maritime Organization (IMO), etc.

DG NIMA assured full support to PNSC in future endeavors and said that this landmark MoU is the manifestation of academia-industry linkage. Chairman PNSC also guaranteed to bolster the mutual cooperation with NIMA.
