This paper discussed the substitution of the term Quarantine for Blockade, its manifestation during the Cuban crisis and its prospects to be used as war strategy in the Indian Ocean and highlighted that United States, U.S.S.R and Cuba opted a cautious course for achieving their defensive goals against installation of lethal missiles.
