A Special 7^th Advisory Board meeting of the National Institute of Maritime Affairs (NIMA) was held at Head Office, Islamabad on 31 August 2023. Admiral (Retd) Muhammad Asif Sandila NI(M), former Chief of the Naval Staff, and Chairman BoA NIMA chaired the meeting.

V/Adm (Retd) Ahmed Saeed HI(M), DG NIMA welcomed the participants and presented NIMA’s contribution to Maritime Affairs since the last BoA meeting. Mr. Baber Bilal Haider, Deputy Director General NIMA presented the NIMA vision – 2047, its Structure and Development plan. Board members, after discussion, approved the new proposal.

In his closing remarks, Admiral Sandila appreciated board members valuable inputs. He applauded the efforts of the NIMA team, especially upon becoming the member of the Advisory Board of the National Security Committee (NSC), GoP.
