National Institute of Maritime Affairs (NIMA), organized Three Days Workshop for Naval Officers at PNS Jauhar Auditorium, Karachi from 08-10 Jan 2019. The theme selected for deliberation in the Workshop was “National Security Dynamics – Emerging Maritime Challenges and Opportunities”. The invitations for the symposium were extended to a large number of Navy/Air Force, Army Officers, ranking from Cdrs, Capt, Cdres& equivalent media personnel, and stakeholders from maritime sector. The Workshop was divided in to Three modules including opening and closing sessions; Global Strategic Environment and National Security Threat, Maritime Challenges and Economy and Media Perception and National Challenges. In the closing session, Director General National Institute of Maritime Affairs, V/Adm (Retd) Syed Khawar Ali HI(M) acted as a Chief Guest. Certificates were awarded to the participants at the end of the workshop. Director National Institute of Maritime Affairs, Cdre (Retd) Baber Bilal Haider SI(M) was the main organizer of the workshop whereas Ms. Zaheema Iqbal, Senior Researcher NIMA coordinated the workshop.
