27 Aug 2025 – To commemorate World Lakes Day, NIMA hosted a webinar titled “From Mountains to Coast: Safeguarding Pakistan’s Lakes and Wetlands”.
Dr Faseha moderated the session, renowned Conservationist Mr. Jamshed Iqbal Chaudhry from WWF-Pakistan shared his inspiring journey in wildlife and wetlands conservation. He highlighted the vital role of lakes in sustaining biodiversity, livelihoods, and climate resilience.
NIMA researchers and online participants gained valuable insights on how to protect Pakistan’s lakes and wetlands, from the highlands of the Himalayas to the coast of Arabia sea.
