NIMA & KoFHA hosted a World Fisheries Day awareness session for local Fisherfolk

21Nov 2025:  National Institute of Maritime Affairs (NIMA) and Korangi Fish Harbour Authority (KoFHA) hosted a World Fisheries Day awareness session for local Fisherfolk. The event, themed “Blue Transformation in Action: Strengthening Small-Scale & Sustainable Fisheries,” promoted eco-friendly fishing practices. Dr. Safia Mushtaq emphasized the importance of responsible fishing gear, while the team also toured seafood processing facilities at KoFHA to foster industry insights.
