09 December ,2025: An international seminar, jointly organized by National Institute of Maritime Affairs (NIMA) and Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) was held in Karachi as part of Exercise BARRACUDA-XIII. The seminar brought together international and national experts to deliberate on coordinated strategies for responding to major oil spills and to promote the shared objective of ensuring clean and sustainable oceans.
Federal Minister Dr. Musadik Malik, the Chief Guest, reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong commitment to maritime environmental protection and sustainable use of marine resources. Speakers highlighted pertinent aspects aimed at enhancing national preparedness, strengthening inter-agency coordination, and building capacity to effectively respond to marine environmental emergencies.
