US Embassy delegation visits NIMA

13th Nov 2024 – Mr. Srini Seetharam, Economic Officer, and Ms. Rehana Sajid, ESTH Officer, from the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad visited NIMA to strengthen bilateral ties and explore collaboration. Discussions focused on harnessing Pakistan’s Blue Economy potential, emphasizing sustainable shrimp farming, coastal tourism, green shipbuilding, and ship recycling. Both sides committed to advancing sustainable development in Pakistan’s coastal areas, with the U.S. delegation offering to connect NIMA with U.S. think-tanks and potential partners.
