Policy Specialist at FAO, along Partnership Support and Project Lead, FAO called on President NIMA

11 July 2025: Dr. Kanwar Javed Iqbal, Policy Specialist at FAO, along with Mr. Junaid Hafeez, Partnership Support and Project Lead, FAO called on President NIMA to explore collaboration on policy, research, and capacity building to support the country’s blue economy and marine conservation goals. President NIMA congratulated the FAO team on the success of the recent consultative workshop on National Fisheries and Aquaculture Policy 2025-35, and urged for its swift promulgation. The FAO team appreciated NIMA’s participation in the review process of the draft policy.
